The Brief

As SelwayJoyce continued to grow it realised that an on-site infrastructure upgrade to strengthen its fast-paced, national operation was necessary.

With the continued growth of the business came a more dispersed workforce, requiring access to services and files from wherever they chose to work - something the existing infrastructure could not fulfil.

Whilst refreshing the IT environment was of utmost importance, SelwayJoyce sought a partner to manage and support the business, ensuring minimal downtime if issues occurred. With significant experience in transitioning businesses to cutting-edge solutions and technical support credentials, Nasstar was the ideal partner to transform the business.

Nasstar wanted to introduce a more resilient infrastructure with the ability to scale with the business, enabling them to better serve customers and empower staff to work securely from any location.

The Benefits

SelwayJoyce’s new, highly customisable environment via Cloud infrastructure and DaaS offers better performance, additional functionality, enhanced resilience, and room for expansion in line with the business’ growth strategy.

The solution also delivers notable cost efficiencies with its flexible “per user, per month” approach, allowing the business to easily control its plans.

The Solution

By moving its infrastructure to Nasstar’s own, secure Private Cloud platform, SelwayJoyce could finally decommission its ageing servers. The platform was built on technologies from some of the world’s most prominent providers with 99.99% uptime, scalability and at a lower cost to the business.

SelwayJoyce also opted for Nasstar’s Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solution, providing the company with its own server hosted within the secure datacentre. Powered by industry-leading technology from Citrix, DaaS provides staff with centralised, easy access to their company data and applications.

Thanks to the Cloud-based nature of the hosted desktop, staff can be more agile, logging in securely wherever, whenever and from whichever device they choose – including mobiles and tablets.

The benefits of transitioning our IT system into Nasstar’s Cloud have been significant. Not only do we have a state-of-the-art infrastructure, but our staff can also work seamlessly and securely from any location. Working in partnership with Nasstar has equipped us with the right grounding for expansion, not only through our system upgrade but with 24/7 support and guidance from an expert team. “We provide an enhanced service to our customers, with improved end-user experience and our in-house IT team can now focus on innovation and the development of their systems.”
