Rhys Lancaster

Rhys Lancaster joined Nasstar full-time in 2023 as Practice Lead for Secure Networks, though his relationship with the company began earlier when he led the acquisition of KCOM's national business for Nasstar.

Wearing multiple hats as Consulting and Delivery Director, Rhys has a knack for turning complex transformations into streamlined operations. His work on the post-acquisition integration delivered £20M in one-time savings and £11M in annualised cost reductions within 18 months – not bad for someone who started his career when dial-up modems were still considered cutting-edge technology!

Before settling into life at Nasstar, Rhys spent over two decades collecting impressive job titles and making technology work better for businesses around the globe. At WarnerMedia, he saved $4M by introducing the radical concept of actually looking at data before making decisions. His eight-year stint at Tata Communications saw him revolutionising customer onboarding timelines from a leisurely 12-18 months down to a zippy 5-8 months, while also managing the rather unique challenge of keeping Formula One's broadcast technology running at 200mph.

When he's not consolidating IT systems or negotiating with suppliers, Rhys can occasionally be found reminiscing about his Durham Computer Science days, though he's sworn never to mention the incident with the university mainframe! He holds an MBA from Cardiff University and enough professional certifications to wallpaper a small office, including PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and ITIL V3.
