Nasstar Wins ‘Best Managed Security Service’

4 June 2020

Nasstar is delighted to announce it has won ‘Best Managed Security Service’ in the highly-prestigious SC Awards Europe. The company is also a finalist in two other categories, ‘Best Incident Response Solution’ and ‘Best SME Security Solution’.

In selecting the ‘Best Managed Security Service’ winner, the judges were asked to assess the overall expertise of the applicant’s cyber security service offering. One judge commented that Nasstar’s submission was, “the best entry that I reviewed … stands out because it included clear information on pricing, market and the offering itself.” Others remarked: “Ability to be onsite is definitely a differentiator”,  “the cost model is clear and transparent” with praise for (the) “focus on how it will support (customers)” as well as including cyber-insurance and a five-year security strategy for each Nasstar client as standard.

With one of the most technically advanced portfolios of security software and services available, Nasstar has developed its award-winning Managed Security Service via meticulous licencing agreements, automation, and building on its 24/7 ServiceDesk to provide industry-leading security, at an inclusive price point. Rated as suitable for Government based security requirements by an external PEN test firm, Nasstar’s security services are aligned with key compliance requirements including UK-only log storage, Cyber Essentials, ISO, FCA, and PCI to provide an end-to-end, tailored service. Tier 2-4 Analysts work with organisations to enhance their security posture, and risk mitigation, whilst the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) is available to all customers in the event of a suspected breach.

Craig Stirling, Head of Security at Nasstar explains: “Within the cyber security space the SC Awards are the highest accolade that all security businesses aspire to receive recognition from. For Nasstar to have won the Best Managed Security Service award is an outstanding achievement. It shows that you can provide a highly technical security solution, 24/7, at a price point accessible to businesses of any size.”

Stirling continues “Nasstar is equally proud that our Incident Response team was also shortlisted in the Best Incident Response Team category. It is our passion and motivation to help to protect anyone affected by security breaches, so we make our team available 24/7 to provide free of charge confidential advice, to both existing Nasstar customers and new customers who are concerned that they may be victims of a cyber breach.” As cyber security becomes an increasing concern for organisations – particularly during this uncertain time - there is more pressure than ever to evidence a strong security posture.
