Nasstar offers OneConsultation video collaboration platform free to UK public sector for one month

Powered by Microsoft Teams, OneConsultation enabled nearly 350,000 meetings in 2020, providing a vital lifeline for users of healthcare, Police, education, and social services.

In 2020 video consultations become the norm across a number of sectors. Nasstar* is pleased to have played its part and finished the year with record numbers of users. Back in March, at the start of the pandemic, Nasstar announced that NHS Trusts and care providers could use OneConsultation free of charge, with no obligation, for one month and that it would make the service live within 72 hours. Nasstar is now pleased to repeat this offer until the end of the pandemic.

OneConsultation is now being employed for a wide range of uses, these include police interviews, children and young people in care, audiology, geriatricians, learning disabilities, family therapy, district nursing, midwifery, school nursing and talking therapies. It can even be used as part of our video conferencing concierge, taking the stress of video consultation away from businesses.

As well as hosting 346,896 consultations and group sessions in 2020, Nasstar hosted over 735 years of video, and sent 15,826 SMS messages to patients about their consultations.

In 2020, Humberside become the first Police force in the country to offer video consultations to victims of crime. Chris Rowley, Deputy Chief Constable of Humberside Police said: “The video system will hopefully ease any worries around giving statements by being able to provide them in a safe, virtual environment, and I hope that this innovative step forward does lead by example and promotes that it is possible to stay well-connected with others whilst practicing social distancing.”

Wayne Churchill, CEO at Nasstar explains: “When we first introduced our offer in March, even we were surprised at the number of enquiries we received. Later when we expanded the offer to other areas of public service, we were similarly pleased by the sheer amount of use cases that OneConsultation could address with many of our customers using it in highly innovative ways. We are now delighted to expand this offer to all organisations in the UK public sector and look forward to helping more people through the pandemic.”
