Nasstar Hosted Desktop changes the way you work. Forever.
24 Jun 2010 Nasstar IT Award for Young Enterprise North West
Nasstar plc, the quoted cloud computing provider, is delighted to support Young Enterprise North West (“YENW”) with the 2010 IT Award. All the finalists demonstrated an impressive use of online technologies to assist them with their businesses. Nasstar judged the winner to be Visualise Media.
Charles Black, CEO of Nasstar, commented “Nasstar were extremely impressed with Visualise Media’s use of new technologies at both an operational and product level. From an operational perspective, the geographically diverse nature of their staff and contractors meant they utilised a Facebook site, email and online file sharing to enable all the staff and contracted writers to communicate and share information. In so doing Visualise Media took advantage of the latest online technologies and can be considered as an early adopter of leveraging social networking sites as a business tool. From a product perspective, Visualise Media have created an online radio station to help unsigned musicians promote their music. This use of technology is incredibly significant because it highlights the convergence of different media – television, radio and the internet - ‘in the cloud’. To use the internet to create a broadcasting solution demonstrates that Visualise Media has real vision. 360radio.co.uk is an inspiration to young entrepreneurs, a pioneering example that the internet can be used to create a new generation of radio and television channels that are exciting and important businesses. Our sincere congratulations to Connor Sephton and his team at Visualise Media.”
Catherine Stewart, Corporate Manager for YENW, commented “Thank you to Nasstar for supporting our 2010 IT Award. Technology has an important role in business and its important that these young companies use IT to help achieve their objectives. YENW adopted Nasstar’s Hosted Desktop cloud computing solution last year and its been fantastic. As a charitable organisation we work a lot from home and need to keep our costs as low as possible. Nasstar’s Hosted Desktop service enables us to work from anywhere and we’re delighted Nasstar sponsored our IT Award.”
